Become a Volunteer

As a self-supporting charity, the museum is always looking for help. Whether you are an aviation enthusiast or not the likelihood is that you have some skills that could be beneficial to our operations. Many of our volunteers are retired and were looking for something to occupy, at least, some of their time. There is a great air of camaraderie amongst the team. So why not try something different today?

Volunteers Application Form

Please complete the following questionnaire to help us match your abilities with tasks or projects at the Museum and then Submit Application. You can also download a word processor friendly copy of the Volunteers Application Form here. You can e-mail the completed form to: enquiries@bamhurn.org. You will also need to provide a passport size photo on your first visit, so that we can issue you with a Museum pass.

Conditions: It is expected that volunteers will work at least 16 hours per month and all attendance will be for specific duties or tasks as agreed. All Shop and Steward duties will be shown on the duty roster which is available on the shop notice board and also e-mailed to all volunteers. Volunteers can also visit the Museum at any other times (not counted as duty time). The Trustees reserve the right to remove volunteer status if any of the above is not fulfilled.
